VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are an integral part of Dallas Street Dog Advocates, and looks different for every person.

They help us feed and gain the trust of feral dogs so we can capture them, transport animals to and from appointments, foster homes, and events. They help us organize events and promote them on social media, and so much more. We could not do what we do without the help of all of our volunteers. We are constantly looking for people who can help us do these tasks and more. You don't have to be able to foster to volunteer!

How You Can Help!

There are endless ways that you can volunteer your time with Dallas Street Dog Advocates. Below are just a few of our most common volunteer positions. We have volunteer opportunities for small and big time commitments, and if there is something you like doing, tell us and we will find a spot for you!

Below are a few of the most common volunteer opportunities:

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

Our administrative team manages the medical needs of our dogs, processes applications and works closely with our leadership team and veterinarians. If you are good with computers and like keeping things organized, we can always use help with these tasks.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are our main tools for getting our adoptable dogs more exposure. More exposure means more adoptions! If you like  making creative content and are well-versed in the social media space, we would love to hear your ideas.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS & MARKETING

DSDA is an all volunteer group that relies solely on public donations. We cannot do what we do without the generosity of our supporters and fellow animal advocates.  We are always looking for ways to raise funds to further our mission. If you like getting the word out there about a great cause, organizing events, have creative marketing ideas, or have fundraising strategies and tips, we need you.

ADOPTION EVENTS

Thanks to the generosity of local pet stores and businesses, we hold adoption events on a bi-weekly to monthly basis. We are always in need of adoption counselors, greeters, dog handlers, and assistance with set up and clean up at these events. This is a really fun way to get to meet other volunteers and play with our adoptable dogs!
